Chairs hang from the rafters

Out in the furniture barn, chairs hang overhead by the dozen: ladder-backs, cane seats, bentwood and pressed-backs. Below them the floor is packed with dressers, trunks, desks and cupboards, each with a handwritten tag.

Plan on a few hours

Around the property

  1. The porch

Wicker, rockers and tables of smalls under white gingerbread trim, with more chairs hung from the eave.

  2. The shop rooms

Butter-yellow rooms of china cupboards, lit glass cases, lamps and kitchenware, packed floor to ceiling.

  3. The barns

Furniture under the rafters, and a long aisle of picture frames stacked to the roof.

  4. The yard

Old doors, ironwork, crates and salvage in the outbuildings. Mind the hand-lettered signs.

A note from Loretta

I'm Loretta Johnson, and I've run Cobweb Antiques on Yeager Road for over thirty years.

There's no catalogue and no online cart. You come, you wander, and you find something you weren't looking for. People tell me the fun is in the hunt, and after three decades of this I still agree with them. Call ahead before you set off; our hours move around with the seasons, and I'll be glad to tell you what's just come in.
